About

Activist by nature, therefore a little restless. Diverse background in the service industry and telecom, thanks to that I have good communication skills, attention to detail, ability to work in a team environment. Recently finished learning full-stack web engineering to better understand the big picture how web application works and what kind of lifecycle it has. Not afraid of challenges and mistakes, it will come in handy in problem-solving and delivering fast results.

I am...

Maker

There is something enjoyable of making something that is tangible, visible and usable. I always try to do things myself, when I get stuck I ask for help from experts. Even if things don't turn out perfectly, you still feel proud that you did it yourself. In addition, you also have a new experience, does not matter if it is good or bad.

I used to do everything I could, but now I understand that if the project does not have any users or does not give experience, the project will not survive.

Solver

Hard to crack challenges are welcome, even those what no one else wants to do. Although I may be a little slow, the vision is in place and concrete, and eventually things will work out. Don't get bogged down in unnecessary details if bigger critical picture is not in place.

In my previous job at a telco, problem solving was my main job. When bigger disasters and failures occurred then my job was also to manage crisis. Set expected deadlines, brought the different departments together, shared information with the upper management, front line and media department.

Manager

Interacting with people is enjoyable, not afraid to get into a debate. In project manager shoes, I'm more of a listener type, but if things start to go wrong or something gets confusing, I intervene and bring the things back on track. I make sure that everything are legally correct and that all parties are satisfied.

Passed a IT project manager development program so I could choose between different project management methodologies and apply them. Map the project management model and assess its suitability in organizations. How to apply agile team creation, management and development methodologies.

Hobbies

Motorcycling

Riding since 2011, once a year I make 1 month ~12.000km journey. Mostly traveling on TET and forest roads and camping with tent. Getting out of the comfort zone. And yes, I get stuck and fall often.

Hiking & Camping

Mostly hiking in Finland and Estonia because there is supper nice trails and nice camping places next to lakes where you can fish, camp and sometimes have sauna.

Photography

Doing it since 2004. Some undertakings take a very long time and the result is not visible. But not in photography, you can see great results at the end of the day, which provides a small amount of dopamine...
